Why every member of the California Association of Health Underwriters Should support the CAHU Political Action Committee (CAHU-PAC) !!

Legislative involvement on behalf of the agents and brokers of California has long been one of the hallmarks of the California Association of Health Underwriters. From the association's local "Adopt-A-Legislator" activities, to the annual "Day at the Capitol" legislative event at Sacramento, to the on-going efforts of our full-time Legislative Advocates, CAHU has tirelessly promoted the vital role played by agents and brokers in the health insurance marketplace, along with the need for rational healthcare reform in our State.

Energy, enthusiasm, and commitment, however, are often not enough to bring this message to our elected representatives. And that's where your Political Action Committee comes in. The CAHU-PAC provides the vehicle not only to solidify our relationship with those legislators who support our positions, but perhaps more importantly, to build new relationships with legislators who perhaps might not otherwise recognize how effectively the members of CAHU serve their constituents. The CAHU-PAC does not "buy votes". It does not "kill" bad legislation. It is, quite simply, a means to bring our message to the people whose actions directly effect our industry, and our jobs.

Your contribution to the CAHU-PAC is a statement of support for your industry, and a very pragmatic step towards protecting your job and your income. Joining the PAC requires a commitment of only $10.00 a month, though I would humbly ask you to consider a larger contribution.
